Cooie

Cooie folks, it's been a while since I typed a confession a blog post, and plenty has occurred or rather some things have gone on and I've not had the time to write one out. Which is meant I am not sure what it is I have done, and in what order? Totally loosing the track of the days. I've been for the past few days working with my Aunt assisting with the Opera dresses for the English National Opera, hopefully will get a picture of the finished dresses that I helped on, especially the beaded dress. I'll keep you posted about that.

I've got back into spirit making the clocks again which is super and as I write this I am already musing over two other new designs, so things are looking up, and as I am now currently on time off owing to a knee operation I am having tomorrow I might actually get the time to make them. In between that though I have to finish a baby quilt, I also found some knitting projects whilst getting some wool to give to my Aunt, and oh look into learning Java. So it will keep me quiet at least.

This is the pictures of the clock I made last week using the printed tape I purchased in Brighton, I totally love it. I also have plans to use the tape for another clock face and also a couple of new tissue holders. The latter i haven't done in a while and as the hayfever season is well and truely upon us it would be rather 'handy'.

This is what I listed yesterday to Etsy, but forgot to mention here...the Little House Picture is completed! I'm so pleased with it and now I sort of know what I want to do with the other two little patches.

This is what I was working on last night but like a muppet now found out that I stitched it on the wrong side....ah well. Hahaha

Sunday Already?!

It does feel as though Sunday has just suddenly appeared, which sucks because it means its the end of my holiday and back to work tomorrow. I am going to moan that classic line, 'I don't want to go back to work' I really, really don't want to go back to work. I just have t think it's only 6 work days then I'll be off again following my knee op on the 28th.

To those who suggested that I turned the little house patch into a picture, here you go folks it's almost done! I just need to finish slip stitching the backing fabric, then attach the support then it's done. A little self supporting picture. I'm thinking I'll be doing the same with the other two little patches I have knocking about. Anyway this little will be finished tonight, then tomorrow morning I have something I am working on for my Aunt for a costume job for the English National Opera, pictures will follow on this.

A Wee Posting for a Wee Item

Another Mini Quilt sort of affair, possibly just a patch to attach to something else. I just don't quite know what the other thing is going to be. Possibly just a mini picture...

Thoughts?

Head in a Vice and Other Things

I think my head is trying to remove it's self or my brain is trying to split in two. Either way I feeling just somewhat rough. Which of course does occur on my day off. Not totally happy bunny as I wanted to do some crafting today but I can't concentrate long enough to thread a needle. So I'm currently lying on my bed having nicked my mothers laptop, and thinking about making yet another cup of tea but groaning at the prospect of having to get up again. I know hard life. Some point this evening I'll be nipping out to vote (that's all I am going to say on the matter because if I see another tweet or a facebook message about someone voting or have you voted I might yelp...okay so I should yelp because I just mentioned it.

Now I seem to have forgotten my train of thought for this blog post...what was it? Oh, yes I have actually finished making something. I know shocking! It's not a great photo, and doesn't quite do it justice but at least you get an idea. For a different edge I've covered the card at the back with paper to give it a bit of colour and because the card I used wasn't white which was a bugger, but I've long since run out of my stash of white card, and well waste not want not I used brown card instead. It works rather nicely. Again you will not the use of the smaller golden hands and anyone wishing to purchase any of my current clocks can request to have gold hands as I purchased a stash of the hands.

Later on, if I'm feeling better then I might do a bit of quilting, free form like the Liberty mini quilt but might make coasters, got an idea for a new clock and some other bits. I might just do some sketching instead. Or just curl up in a ball and read a book.
