about me

Hello and welcome to my little online world, my name is Laura and I am a designer based in the South of England, and have been drawing and creating since I was a wee nipper.

I initially studied Art and Design at Guildford college, and it was during this time that I fell even more in love with all things textiles. This passion led me to the Royal School of Needlework; there I studied the fine art of hand embroidery and slowly began my love affair with tea. I graduated in 2005, along with a top award earned in 2004 from the Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers.

Since then I’ve gained valuable work experience working at  Philip Treacy’s London Studio, Lulu Guinness head office, and have worked alongside a very talented film, stage and TV Costumier, who also happens to be my aunt, on various projects.

Currently work in London within the construction industry and manage to fit in my creative endeavors around it. I like to make wonderful little embroidered items, in lush cottons, linens and threads as and when my muse strikes and time is permitting. I have a passion for Liberty Tana Lawn, hamsters as they make me laugh, drinking lots of tea, watches, vintage brooches, baking and reading.
