Easter Weekend Stuff

This is what I have turned one of the small mini embroidery patches into a tissue holder, and I think I might be using another one in the same manner. However, whilst looking for something else I came across a small stash of bright coloured buttons, ones I've been sent or given for free, and well with the cheerful blue linen they look smashing stitched onto it. Both are currently for sale in my Etsy store.

I totally forgot to show you this little beauty, another colouring book I was given for my birthday, it's utterly awesome, and has stickers! I know how sad am I that I now have three colouring books and crayons. This one is a bit more quirky though as you can draw in the actual figures, not great with drawing people but it's been fun so far.

Eye, Eye...

Before I get to the reason for the title of this post, I wanted to show you the latest two tiny embroideries I've done, that completes the set of four I worked on. Still not fully decided on their final purpose in life, but I can at least cross of my list, 'Embroider something x 4'. Okay I lie don't actually have a list, or anything, I just had a bit of fabric in a frame, with four areas blanked out ready for something to be stitched on them.

As you can see we have a tiny little house on a hill, and another toadstool, always seem to come back to these two designs. Strange that.

Now all that remains to do is to turn them into something else, well put them onto something, either tissue holders or another couple of clocks, a combination of the two perhaps. We shall wait and see.

In regards to the eye, well I could actually mention two things, hence the eye, eye.

1. Doctor Who, did you watch it? Did you see it...and did you see the size of that EYEBALL! Loved it, the show that is not the giant eyeball, I have a thing about eyes. Matt Smith you were ruddy good, I was sure I was going to dislike the new series, but this week he's really one me over with his personality and general nerdness, he's more nerdy than D.T and I love him for it.

2. I think I've bruised my eyelid, it feels weird, and according to my mother has a slight yellowish tinge, don't know what the hell I've done, but it feels odd.

That's it for tonight!

It must be the Sun...

Or the fact I've gone back to reducing the amount of sugar I consume during the working week. Working in retail can and does drive you to chocolate. Whatever the reason is I like the fact I seem to be on a bit of a roll on the stitching front. I've been rather distracted until recently, spending a lot of time online and doing little else. Now I'm back into the rhythm of looking for new work and stitching, still online but with crafting intentions now rather than just killing time.
I've been working on more of the teeny tiny embroideries which will either be used to attach to tissue holders, or clocks, perhaps a mix of the two. I might also be using them as inspiration for a potential project in the works for a magazine. Then again I might do something completely different, I need to have a hash out of some ideas over the weekend, and see what I come up with. What else has been occurring well the mini quilt is coming along nicely, nearly done the top, bar a few extra bit of detailing, then it will be the quilting itself and deciding on the backing fabric, Tana Lawn is going to be a must on that. Also rather tempted to do another one. Though one thing at a time!
One final squee then I'm off, my little Garden wall clock was on the front page last night...this morning, well anyway it was on the front page! So thanks for anyone who saw it and hearted it!
Actually one final thing, in regards to some recent comments. My website is created using an online hosting site, www.moonfruit.com they do the technical bit, I put the thing together in the style I want, and created my own graphics and what not. No, I never did do the instructions on how to stitch the bee's, I can't remember why I didn't? If I get time again I might very well do it.

Sure there was something else I've missed?
