I really don't want to go back through all my Folksy listings again to alter the postage, it's one thing to remove the postage it's quite another to go back through and remember what you had before you did it. Whilst Etsy has it's quibbles and is getting to big for it's boots and has many instances where it doesn't seem to focus on the handmade, at least it has batch shipping option, and shipping profiles.
I'm really at a loss as to what to do with Folksy and I know I've mentioned it many times before but I think I might have to consider culling it which is not something I relish and I could just leave it up there, but it's essentially lost stock. So I think I might have to come to my decision by the end of the week. Thoughts from sellers would be appreciated.
we only have a folksy shop, and whilst there are a few problems here and there with it i still think its the best place for us. we looked at etsy but decided against it for a couple of reason...1) the size of the site. its huge and as we were only just starting out we found that to be a bit intimadating 2) the whole dollars and pounds thing 3) we didn't think thos at the start but now do, we've heard a few instances of people selling on etsy being a bit pushy and bolshie on the forums and what nots. maybe thats because it is a much bigger site and enterprise.
ReplyDeletesaying that i dont think our reasons for not having an etsy shop are that relevant to your situation.
we just feel that folksy is only going to get better, after all etsy started somewhere just like folksy is
