Moving!
Finally, after nearly nine months I'm finally moving into my first home. This is a big step for me and one I can't wait to crack on with, as I will finally have a decent space to create my work in! Something I've been dreaming about ever since I put an offer on the flat. I'll certainly be blogging about my adventures into interior design.This also means that my etsy store has gone into a temporary hiatus and will be back up and running again on Sunday 4th August.
Honeycomb Tutorial
Apologies to all, but with the move I've had to delay the release of the tutorial till September. The delay isn't just to do with the move, there is another very exciting reason...scroll down to find out more. Secret Squirrel
This is where I get to become a bit of a secret agent. I've got a very exciting project for the next month to work on, commissioned by Crafty magazine. The only other things I can tell you, aside from how awesome its going to be, is that the magazine will be hitting the shops on November 7th. Not only that I am also in discussions with the magazine to arrange a little competition especially for all my lovely readers! So do keep your eyes peeled over the coming months.
Things are coming on at quite a pace for both my little quilting project and moving. The two now almost merging.
This weekend I am doing yet more packing, and this means all my materials, equipment and stock are getting packed up and sent to my parents. This subsequently means that my shop will be going on vacation mode as of tomorrow night. I wasn't planning on closing it so soon but there is a lot happening and I don't need the stress at the moment.
At present I am not entirely sure when I will be back up and running I'm thinking in a fortnight. This blog, Twitter etc will be the best way of keeping up with when I am open again. I also hope by that point I will know when I will be completing on my flat purchase, but I am not really holding my breath at this point. AH, the joys of purchasing.
And what about my little project, well see for yourself, its coming across rather nicely. The loving the look of it and the speed in which it is coming together. I do bits and pieces on the train and a little in the evenings. Just enough to keep my hand in sewing.

It's amazing what you find when your sorting out room prior to moving out. I came cross this little beauty. My cluedo inspired 3D hand embroidered and constructed box. Inside you can make out the small bottle of poison, there was a rope but I can't seem to find it. Then there is the candlestick and fire irons...
This was my second year project whilst at the RSN majority of the contents is made by me, and that includes the rug, the bookshelf the picture on the wall and the actual box itself. The panelling was a royal pain in the neck I can remember the headaches now.
Now the question is what to do with it?
