Bees, Pictures and Tea

The secret squirrel project has been posted off, and I've decided to treat myself this weekend to a bit of me time, and wrapping up a few loose ends. So I can start a fresh next weekend and finally crack on with new projects and start work on the Honeycomb tutorial I've been promising.

So this weekend I've cleaned my abode, pampered myself and Hamish, hung pictures and tarted up a new mega sized notice board, cooked and finished off another overdue project. Oh, I also wrote a mini newsletter.

Before I talk about the newsletter I thought I'd show you a few shots from the room, I've been able to keep the room tidy...lets see how long that lasts. ;)

Just a few shelves...

Yes, that is Mary Poppin's on the screen. A few pictures on the wall.

New uber big notice board, time to fill it!

The newsletter that went out today was just a smaller than normal one mainly because of the sheer lack of doing anything other than sorting out the flat and focusing on the secret squirrel project. But I promised a free pattern to download so, the 50+ folks who kindly subscribe to the newsletter were the first to get it.

So the new pattern is a wee little planet to join the series and it's theme is bees...

To view this month's newsletter click here, or if you just want to skip to the new pattern then click this link. I'll have a stitched version of this soon, as well as an advanced purchasable pattern.

Now time to start sorting out some dinner and I have this vague feeling that I've forgotten to do something....

Oh, there was something a date for your diaries if your in Surrey, I nipped over to Farnham Maltings yesterday and picked up their events diary and on the Saturday 19th & 20th October is the Festival of Crafts. I'm going to nip along on one of the days to check out the wares.

Bye for now!

Busy Times

Nearly getting to the end of my secret squirrel project, the stitching for it is done and only the paperwork remains. The fun side....

This does now mean that I can slowly begin to return to my own bits and pieces such as working on the tea solves everything piece which is so close to finishing. I think I can get it completed this coming weekend. Which will be cool.

Think I am a little bit too in love with the trailing, again...

I also have my application for the Farnham Maltings Christmas fair to finish and get in the post and I have to say I've already thought about the design for this year's Christmas decorations. I'm sorry! I hate to bring the word up as much as you do, although to be fair I've put it off for as long as I could. Don't hate me.

Almost the next newsletter time, now you will have to forgive me the next one won't be a big but I think you will like it as it will feature the free little embroidery design I promised you all.

One final mad panic, is the napkin I must stitch and get back to them on the 2nd September, I am sensing it's going to be mad dash on that one. Tea, will hopefully be my saviour for that one!

When things are a little less manic I will show you some progress shots of the studio, hopefully when I get some artwork on the wall. Just ordered a load of frames from Habitat which will help with that one.

Well I do like to be kept busy!

Mini Update from the Temp Hive

Phew, first step in my moving house has successfully completed. The second step, which will see me move into my soon to be very first home (not rented!!) will hopefully happen next month. In the meantime I have made a little hive/nest in my temporary stop gap (parent's house) to allow me a chance to get back to do some stitching. My fingers are itching to get going again, and I'll be doing just that this coming weekend.

I'll also be reopening my shop on Saturday 27th April, so do swing by, I'll also be making my patterns listed in the Etsy store, as immediately downloadable, signed up for a Beta testing to allow this to happen.

My first newsletter went out last night, to those who are not on my mailing list to receive it, you can view it by clicking this link http://t.co/zZ5xuWiPfD. If you would like to get this monthly update then head here http://eepurl.com/yqmGT

That's it for now, there will be a full blog post this Sunday xx
